At the beginning Imbesi was a citrus trader, then he had the idea to start a new business, based on the essential oils production. The fresh new activity was based on the need of giving value to the citrus fruits not suitable for the market. He has been clever realizing that production should have been done directly on the field, where the citrus fruits were collected, bypassing further coming back transportations due to not suitable/bad products. In the end, fruit’s selection on the field represented a huge logistic money saving for the new-born company.
Afterwards the company was inherited by the son, Salvatore, and then it was passed to the grandson, Antonino. Appearance of the first trucks allowed the transfer to a new location, not so far from the old one; then a small processing plant was built giving a job to more than 50 people. Antonino Imbesi started the juice production then he figured out that to improve essential oil production it was necessary to build up a bigger factory, introducing new mechanical activities capable of improving production time, quality and quantity of the products. The old tools used by the workers like “u cutedduspiritu”, “u rastreddu” or “a cunculina” were replaced by the machines

In 1988 the Company passed from Salvatore Imbesi to his son, Antonino, who started an optimization route for the citrus processing cycle implementing more efficient and new technologies in order to improve the product’s quality.
